Multiple Break-ins in Thorncrest Village and Chestnut Hills

Please be aware that we have had reports of 8-10 break-and-enter incidents throughout the Thorncrest Village and Chestnut Hills neighbourhoods. Most of these incidents were committed between Friday, September 19 and Monday, September 22. Here are the reports we have received regarding some of the incidents:

Thorncrest Village:

On Thorncrest Road, the house alarm was on and the intruder gained entry through the backyard by breaking the glass in the windows and French doors. The intruder (described as a burly looking guy) then reportedly left the house through the front door and escaped in a white van.
“I was told by the police after waiting several hours on Friday before he arrived at my house, that I was the 8th house in the area to have a break and enter. Then I spoke to a friend last night to find out that there were another 2 on Sat. My gardener has informed me today that there was another one on Chesswood on Monday this week. We need to work together. Eyes must be open. This is a prayer I posted on Facebook the day after my break and enter...

I came home yesterday to find that my house was broken into.
Not a good feeling let me share.
No one was home.
Midday break in.
Window broken.
French doors smashed.

Not a good feeling.
My house was visited by people I hadn't invited.
Scary shit!
They walked in my room, my kids rooms and touched my things.
Not a good feeling.

I had my alarms on but these guys are pros.
In and out in minutes.
Even left from the front door.
No one saw them.
No one cares to say.

The bracelet that a deceased loved one gave me... taken.
Nonna’s family heirloom... taken.
These are just things.
They are not the person.

May anyone that wears my things feel my energy and be so touched that they change professions and start to help verse take.”

Chestnut Hills:

“My neighbour just let me know that there have been 10 break-ins in the last two days in the neighbourhood; the latest one occurring today between 12:30 pm – 3 pm on Chestnut Hills near Finchley Road.”
