Break-ins in Islington Village

There seems to be an increase in crime in the Islington Village neighbourhood. One of our neighbours writes:
“Hello, just wanted to share that in Islington Village we have seen a recent increase in crime. In the past three weeks on Golfcrest Rd. and Orell Ave. we have had three incidents.
  1. We called Police when we saw someone looking into our basement windows with a flashlight at 3 am.
  2. A home was robbed on Orell Ave., they entered through an upstairs window when no one was home, robbed the house and stole two cars.
  3. A week later on Golfcrest Rd. our neighbours were robbed during the day while raking leaves in the backyard. Their kids were in the house.”
Additionally, over the past 12 months there have been robberies on Great Oak Dr. and Rockingham Dr.

If you have seen or heard anything suspicious, please contact the Police.
If you see a crime in progress, please call 9-1-1 immediately.
