“... They used a crow bar to gain entry to front door... it didn’t work so they went to the back door and the frame was older... new french door... old frame. The medco lock worked but frame didn’t. Police took two hours to respond. It was at noon and my daughter had gone to Sherway for 90 minutes. She was panicked when she came back as we were up north and no neighbours were in sight. Police said it was professional jewellery people... went straight to dining room buffet and then emptied every single drawer in three bedrooms. Took high-end costume jewellery as well as gold and silver. Devastating! All drawers were left on bedroom floors. I haven’t got one bangle left! Laptop, iPad, etc. gone. At least my daughter is safe...”
Security Tips: Pay attention to your door frames... steel might be best. Keep jewellery in your furnace room if possible or install a hidden safe and locks on dressers or cupboards containing valuables. A lock on your bedroom door will also detain the thieves. Remember they are in and out usually in 20 minutes.

If you have seen or heard anything suspicious, please contact the Police.
