Attempted Abduction near Lambton Kingsway Junior Middle School

Please note, we have received information from officers at 22 Division of a possible attempted abduction near Lambton Kingsway Junior Middle School.

The incident occurred just before 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 18 near Strath Ave. and Kingsgrove Blvd. A senior student reported that she was approached by a suspicious male in a white cargo van while she was en route to school. The male asked her if she wanted a ride. The student didn’t answer and the male subsequently drove away.

Police say that a similar incident was reported near Montgomery Rd. on Tuesday, May 17.

Description of Suspect: The suspect is described as male, white, chubby build, bald on top but black and white hair on the sides, missing upper front tooth. He was in a white cargo van with rust around the wheels.

The area was searched by Police with negative results. Citizens are asked to call the Police at 416-808-2200 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) if they have any information on this incident.

Parents and guardians are also asked to review street proofing tips with their children. The Lambton Kingsway Junior Middle School has posted these tips on their website.
