Residential Break-Ins: Islington Ave. / Bloor St. West

Please note, the Toronto Police are reminding residents to lock their windows and doors at night due to an increase in the number or break-and-enter incidents in the Islington Ave. and Bloor St. West area, please see the news release below from August 11, 2016:
The Toronto Police Service would like to remind the public to remain vigilant and lock their doors and windows at night.

There have been multiple Break-and-Enters to residential properties in the Islington Ave. and Bloor St. West  area, during the late-evening to early-morning hours, where person(s) have accessed homes via insecure windows and doors.

Residents in the area are asked to safeguard their homes by:
  • keeping an exterior light on after dark
  • ensure all windows and doors are secured and locked
  • alarms or video surveillance equipment is functional and on

Police are asking residents to report any suspicious vehicles or persons.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police at 416-808-2200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416−222−TIPS (8477), online at, or text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
