Robbery near Kingsway Cres. / Strath Ave.

Please note, the Toronto Police are investigating a robbery incident which took place on Wednesday, February 22. The suspects are described as 3-4 male teenagers with dark skin, driving in a white 4-door Honda Civic.

The incident took place at the corner of Kingsway Cres. and Strath Ave. The same car may have also been spotted during an altercation near Edgecroft Rd. and Uno Dr. at around 9:20 pm on the same day. Below is a description of the situation from one of the victims:
“Here’s what happened (as a warning to others). 2 teens were standing by a car on Kingsway Crescent (and unbeknownst to me a 3rd was in the driver’s seat). They asked me the time as I walked by. When I gave them the time and was about to keep walking they said they were lost and could they use my phone to call their mother. Not being stupid (or so I thought) I said if it’s really necessary I will call their mother just give me the number. That’s when they reached out (very quickly) and grabbed my belongings. They jumped in their car and sped off down Strath (westbound) in a white 4-door Honda Civic. My friend was knocked down as the car sped off but luckily is okay.

If you saw this car speeding through the neighbourhood and have any other details to share please let me know. Thankfully the police are treating this very seriously. Hopefully these kids won’t try it again in this neighbourhood but be warned (and warn your kids) to keep walking and don’t engage in conversation. It happened so quickly.”
Description of suspects: One teen was slim (about 5'9") and the other teen was shorter (about 5'4"). They both appeared to be around 17-18 years old. They had brown skin and were driving in a white 4-door Honda Civic.
