Increased Number of Car Thefts

Please note, we have seen a sudden rise in the number of vehicle thefts in our area. Police have reported nine vehicles stolen from Central Etobicoke neighbourhoods during the week of March 20-26, 2017. We have also received e-mails from local area residents alerting us that their vehicles had also been stolen.

Historically, car thieves in our area have been known to target popular models such as Honda or Toyota SUVs or Crossovers.

If you have been the victim of a vehicle theft, please report it to the Police immediately.

For more information on minimizing the risk of your vehicle being stolen, please refer to the Toronto Police website on Crime Prevention and Community Safety.
