Hit and Run near Great Oak Dr. / Remington Dr.

Please note, one of our neighbours has reported that their car was hit last night while parked in their driveway in a hit and run incident. The incident occurred near Great Oak Dr. and Remington Ave. in Islington Village on Saturday, June 16, 2018.
“I live on Great Oak Drive and somewhere between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 am on June 16th, somebody drove their car west on Great Oak into our ditch, across the driveway, tore the back off our Versa, continued through the ditch and left the back bumper in the neighbour’s driveway. Sadly, I think the damage is irreparable.
There was no responsibility taken for this hit and run crime nor has anyone tried to get in touch with us today. I’ve canvassed my neighbours not only to bring their attention to the destruction, but to see if anybody knew something or may have heard or seen something during the night. I imagine it would have made quite a bang. I would also think that there would be some damage to the other car (the car that hit our car) on the driver’s side, at the front of the car.
I’m writing to ask if this information can somehow be made public so that possibly someone might know something and come forward with any information to help identify the person or persons responsible.”

If you or someone you know might have seen or heard something related to this incident, or if you have security cameras facing the street in this area. Please let us know so that we can put you in touch with our neighbour and help find those responsible.

If you have seen or heard anything suspicious, please contact the Police.
