Injured Coyote near Rathburn Rd./The Wynd

Please note, we have received a report of an injured coyote near Rathburn Rd. and The Wynd in Thorncrest Village on Thursday, June 21, 2018.
“I saw a coyote sitting on the lawn at The Wynd and Rathburn Rd. (between Kipling and Islington) around 9:45 this morning. It got up and slowly limped away, eastbound on Thorncrest Road. Its left hind leg appeared injured. I have reported the sighting to Toronto Animal Services, but thought the community might want to know about it, as I assume an injured animal roaming openly in the daylight could pose a threat to pets and possibly people in the neighbourhood.”

If you have any small children or pets, please be aware.
