Update: Thefts from Vehicles near The Kingsway / Princess Margaret Blvd.

Please note, we have received news from our friends at Markland Watch that the individual caught breaking into multiple vehicles in 22 Division from August 25-27 has been arrested.
“We have been told that the OPP found him in Bancroft driving the vehicle stolen from our community. Apparently the vehicle was filled with stolen items.”

If you know of any items that may have been stolen from your vehicle or around property between August 25-27, please contact 22 Division.

We would like to thank all those who came forward with information about these thefts and co-operated with 22 Division to help find the individual responsible.

Please note, there has been a significant increase in the number of Thefts from Vehicles in the past week. Please make sure your vehicles are locked and your valuables are hidden out of sight. Thieves are known to break into vehicles for items as small as sunglasses or loose change.

On Saturday, August 25 an individual was caught on home security cameras breaking into two vehicles parked on a driveway near The Kingsway / Princess Margaret Blvd. in the Princess Anne Manor neighbourhood. It was reported that he may have been breaking more vehicles along The Kingsway that same morning. Several more Thefts from Vehicles were reported near Princess Anne Cres. / Bournemouth Rd. in Princess Anne Manor.

Markland Watch also reports that the same individual was caught on home security cameras breaking into vehicles in the Markland Wood area early Monday morning.

These thefts appear to be occurring in the early morning hours between 2:00 am - 4:00 am. If you or someone you know has security cameras facing the street in these areas, or have seen suspicious activity in your area, please contact 22 Division.

Please note, this individual was caught on security cameras breaking into two vehicles parked on a driveway near The Kingsway / Princess Margaret Blvd. in the Princess Anne Manor neighbourhood on Saturday, August 25 at between 2:00 am and 3:00 am. It is reported that he may have been trying to break into multiple vehicles all along The Kingsway.
“I have reported this to TPS 22 Division. A report has been filed but I would like to share a screen shot of the bandit. He broke in to two of our vehicles on Saturday August 25th around 3:00 am. He stole sunglasses and a few dollars in change. He was all down the The Kingsway that morning. If you can share it would be appreciated.”
