The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of arrests made in a firearms investigation
On Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 8:24 am, officers responded to a call to check a home in the Meadowbank Rd. / Cowley Ave. area.
It is alleged that:
Kingslee Christie, 22, of no fixed address, is charged with:
- calls had been made about a loud party at a short term rental home
- officers found a man sleeping in a car with a gun on his lap
- he was arrested
- two other men fled into the backyards of neighbouring properties
- a search uncovered another firearm that had been discarded
- officers then approached a group of men
- a loaded magazine was discovered in their midst
- they were all arrested
- the home was searched by the Emergency Task Force
- five more people were arrested but later released
Najiib Adan, 28, of Mississauga, Zyad Siddiqui, 28, of Toronto, and Said Keylie, 24, of Toronto, have been charged with:
- Possession of a Loaded Regulated Firearm
- Occupy Motor Vehicle with a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm Without Holding a Licence
- Unlicensed Person Possess Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing No Authority
- Store Firearm Carelessly
- Weapons Dangerous to Public Peace
- Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited
- Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited
